About the Role:
We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize products to meet client specifications and industry standards. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact with customers, and occasionally travel to job sites to resolve product installation or operational issues. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects and make a tangible impact in the field of corrosion prevention and safety.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize new and existing products or components, ensuring functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Apply engineering principles to create products that meet project and customer requirements.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, and prototypes.
- Perform design validation and testing to verify product functionality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
- Manage personal project workload to meet objectives, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Ensure all documentation complies with ISO 9001 quality standards to support manufacturing.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to address issues and provide solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings with geometric dimensioning tolerances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly motivated, teachable, and adaptable to change.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
