Advance Products & Systems, LLC., a global leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative cathodic protection, corrosion prevention, and safety products, has an available position for a Duct Bank Spacer Product Manager.
The Duct Bank Spacer Product Manager is responsible for managing and growing APS’s Duct Bank Spacer and Bore Spacer product lines throughout North America. This position combines product management, technical sales, and market development responsibilities while working closely with contractors, utilities, distributors, engineers, and internal teams to increase market share and expand product specifications.
The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and inside sales to develop new products, improve existing designs, and ensure customer expectations for quality and delivery are met. This position requires frequent customer interaction, travel throughout North America, and representation of APS at industry events and trade shows.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and grow APS Duct Bank Spacer and Bore Spacer product lines throughout North America
- Develop sales strategies and identify new customers, markets, and distribution opportunities
- Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and emerging market needs
- Call on electrical contractors, utilities, civil contractors, distributors, and engineers to promote APS products
- Secure engineering specifications and project approvals for APS products
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, training sessions, and lunch-and-learn events
- Represent APS at trade shows and industry events
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to develop new products and improve existing designs
- Provide customer feedback and market insights to engineering, production, and management
- Maintain strong customer relationships while supporting project opportunities
- Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, activity reports, and travel schedules
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and company software for reporting, presentations, and communication
- Submit expense reports and maintain organized customer and project documentation
Experience and Technical Skills
- Preferred: 1–2 years of post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in technical sales, product management, or business development
- Construction, civil, mechanical engineering, or utility industry background preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to present technical products to engineers, contractors, distributors, and utilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
- Experience using CRM or sales reporting software preferred
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and travel extensively throughout North America (minimum 50%)
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and inside sales teams
