Advance Products & Systems, LLC., a global leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative cathodic protection, corrosion prevention, and safety products, has an available position for a National Sales Manager.

The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading and growing APS’s sales efforts throughout the United States and Canada. This position combines sales leadership, product management, technical sales, and market development while overseeing Regional Sales Managers and supporting the continued expansion of APS’s product lines and customer base.

The successful candidate will work directly with regional sales managers, major contractors, utilities, civil contractors, distributors, and engineers to promote APS products, secure engineering specifications, and increase market share. This position collaborates closely with engineering, manufacturing, and inside sales to identify new market opportunities, improve existing products, and ensure customer expectations for quality and delivery are met. Frequent travel throughout North America is required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage APS sales activities throughout the United States and Canada
  • Provide leadership, performance management, and strategic direction to Regional Sales Managers
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company growth objectives
  • Identify new customers, markets, and distribution opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and changing market conditions
  • Promote APS products to contractors, utilities, distributors, engineers, and other key decision-makers
  • Secure engineering specifications and project approvals for APS products
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, training sessions, and lunch-and-learn events
  • Represent APS at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to develop new products and improve existing product lines
  • Provide customer feedback and market insights to engineering, production, and management
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting key project opportunities
  • Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, weekly activity reports, and travel schedules
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and company software for reporting, presentations, and communication
  • Submit expense reports and maintain organized customer and project documentation

Experience and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in technical sales, sales management, or business development
  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of industrial, utility, construction, or infrastructure markets
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to present technical products to engineers, contractors, distributors, and executive decision-makers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • Experience using CRM or sales reporting software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
  • Ability to travel throughout North America (minimum 50%)
